Concho County Hospital (CCH), in Eden, Texas is seeking a chief executive officer (CEO) to serve their facility. This candidate should exhibit high moral integrity, superior communication skills, and strong financial management.
Concho County Hospital is a 16-bed general acute care, Critical Access Hospital (CAH) which operates as a hospital district. CCH has been providing care to the region for over 60 years. CCH has been recognized in the recent past for being in the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the country for Best Practice in Financial Stability --- it has also received this honor on three (3) previous occasions.
CCH provides inpatient and skilled nursing services for the community. Outpatient services include Observation, Treatment Room, Lab, Radiology, and Computerized Tomography (CT). CCH has a Swingbed program and a Health and Wellness Center. It is a designated Level IV Trauma Facility --- the Emergency Department is open and a physician is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The successful candidate should possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree in hospital administration is preferred) and a minimum of ten (10) years as a senior level hospital executive with five (5) of those years as a CEO. A comprehensive working knowledge of rural hospitals, hospital district and Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience are a plus.
Eden, Texas is a city in Concho County which is located on the Edwards Plateau. The community of Eden has a proud history. Eden is the birthplace and hometown of James Earl Rudder, United States Army general in World War II and former president of Texas A&M University in College Station.
Eden is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 83, which extends north to Abilene and south to Junction, and U.S. Highway 87, a link from San Angelo to the northwest and San Antonio to the southeast.
