Concho County Hospital District (“CCHD”), in Eden, Texas is now recruiting for a seasoned and skilled Advance Practice Provider; Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to join the organization in service to the Eden and Concho County community. Concho County Hospital District includes a 16-bed general acute care Critical Access Hospital (“CAH”), a Medicare certified Rural Health Clinic (“RHC”), and, a Health and Wellness Center which provides therapy and wellness programming. Additionally, CCHD owns and operates the only pharmacy in the County. The organization has been recognized in the recent past for being a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital in the country for Best Practice in Financial Stability, an honor it has received on three (3) previous occasions. The CAH hospital provides inpatient and skilled nursing (swing bed) services; includes a Trauma Level IV 24/365 ER, as well as full-service diagnostic Laboratory and Radiology programs. The Concho Medical Clinic RHC, where the position will be located, provides full-spectrum primary and chronic care programs and services and is preparing to launch multiple community-based programs to extend the mission of the organization beyond its four walls. The ideal candidate will be a Texas licensed practitioner, holding a current DEA permit, possessing seven to nine years of experience in a similar environment. Most importantly, the ideal candidate should be comfortable in a “solo” practice, capable of independent conduct and practice. Additional desirable qualifications and skills include experience in emergency medicine, hospitalist care and working as part of an integrated team approach to providing for the community. A solid understanding of identifying and addressing SDOH needs is also desirable. Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) is a definite plus. Located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 83 and U.S. Highway 87, Eden Texas is the geographic center of Texas located on the Edwards Plateau in West Texas.
