Imaging services at Concho County Hospital

At Concho County Hospital, our imaging team provides fast, high-quality scans so you and your doctor can move forward with care — all without long wait times or long drives. Concho County Hospital provides diagnostic imaging services to outpatients and emergency room patients. Your imaging team includes physicians, radiologists, technologists, registered nurses and support staff, working together to support prompt and accurate diagnosis and treatment.
The Radiology/Imaging Services Department at Concho County Hospital is organized into two major components: Diagnostic Radiology (X-ray) and CT (Computed Tomography).
Radiology Department Hours
24/7 for all ER's and Inpatients
7am- 5pm Monday-Friday excluding Holidays for Outpatients.
Digital X-Ray Imaging
Our digital X-ray systems allow providers to capture clear, detailed images quickly to help diagnose injuries and medical conditions. Digital technology improves image quality while reducing exam time and helping your care team review results faster.
Portable X-ray capability also allows imaging to be performed at a patient’s bedside when needed, supporting care in the emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings for patients who may have difficulty moving to the imaging department.
CT, CTA Chest/Abdomen/Pelvis
We use a 64-slice CT scanner to perform a wide range of imaging studies — including advanced scans of your blood vessels, lungs, and internal organs.
A CTA (CT Angiography) is a special type of scan that shows clear images of your arteries and veins. It helps doctors:
- Find blockages or clots
- Detect aneurysms or internal injuries
- Plan treatments or surgeries
This type of scan is often used when timing and accuracy are critical.
Low-Dose Chest CT for Lung Cancer Screening
Early detection saves lives. This scan is designed to find signs of lung cancer before symptoms appear — when it’s most treatable.
Recommended for:
- Adults ages 50–80
- Current or former heavy smokers
- People who quit smoking within the last 15 years
Why it matters:
- Uses just 20–25% of the radiation of a regular chest CT
- Safe for annual screenings if recommended by your provider
